Oxymorons and StumbleUpon

An oxymoron is a combination of words that contradict each other. Here are some of our favorites.

Jumbo shrimp is an oxymoron. Is it little or is it big?

I found this wonderful list using a social platform called StumbleUpon.  It’s very easy to use and if you are interested in finding material about something you are interested in, this is the place to go.  You simply created a login and password, and click on a few or as many categories to “stumble” on.  I chose writing, pets, movies and the like.  Then you click a small button on the top left of your screen called, Stumble!

Randomly, articles or features or something that someone found will pop up for you to view.  You can then do a few things.  Just stumble onward, or press the favorite button and save it on a list to view again later.  You can even share the material you found to Twitter, Facebook or email.  Ive been using the platform about a week, learning and visiting frequently and found 59 favorites and its become a favorite past-time of mine.

I even found this great photo.

Look At My Ears

It is now my background setting on my flat screen on my desk.  Adorable.  If you paint, you can look at paintings and maybe find something you didn’t know was out there.  If you love sports, there is enough news, photos and blogs to look at for days and days.

Another great thing is that you can submit something yourself to Stumble.  Well duh, how do you think every thing got there in the first place right?  I love the tool and am headed there right now to find a recipe that I might have otherwise missed!
